Moody Gardens Concerts on the Gulf
Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz is proud to sponsor the 2008 Concerts on the Gulf series. Five concerts are planned from July through December, bringing nationally-acclaimed American artists in rock, classic rock, country, alternative and pop to perform in their expansive state-of-the-art Expo Arena and beautiful outdoor Meadow at Palm Beach. The season will conclude with a special Christmas theme concert to coincide with the 2008 Festival of Lights. Tickets for the Concerts on the Gulf series will be available from all Ticketmaster outlets. Noche Caliente Gala
The passion for Mexican culture came to life on January 28, 2008 as The Partnership for Baylor College presented Noche Caliente. This year’s gala went to benefit breast cancer research at the Smith Breast Center at BCM. About 1,000 people attended the event at the Hilton America’s-Houston for what was surely the highlight of Houston’s social season. The event raised $11,480,000 and was chaired by well-known and respected Houston philanthropists, Sue and Lester Smith.

United Way of Greater Houston 2007 Raffle
The United Way of Greater Houston 2007 Raffle ran August 20 - October 26, with tickets sold to ExxonMobil employees, retirees, contractors, vendors, friends, and non-profit agency employees and volunteers. Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz was a proud sponsor of the event and provided a 2007 C-Class Sedan as the grand prize of the 27 prizes offered in the raffle. All dollars raised from the event went directly to the United Way to fund their many programs that improve the lives of individuals, and which make our community a better place for us all.

American Heart Association
Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz has teamed up with the American Heart Association to provide critical education and research funding for the Go Red for Women campaign, a national movement to help women raise their awareness—and reduce their risk—of heart disease. On April 18, 2008, we were proud to co-host the third annual American Heart Association Go Red Luncheon at South Shore Harbour. The highly successful event was attended by more than 350 women and raised approximately $14,000, helping the campaign to reach its annual regional goal of $60,000. Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston
Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz supports Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston by periodically donating a percentage of sales to the organization and though other volunteer efforts. As national spokesperson for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Alex Rodriguez champions Campaign 3 P.M., the Boys and Girls Clubs’ initiative to enroll every child in America in an after-school program. This landmark campaign is one of the Boys and Girls Clubs’ most aggressive efforts, and is the first time in its history a bilingual approach has been taken.
